Goldenrupi is an illustrator in SoCal that primarily creates art of cats and other animals in silly outfits and fantasy settings, aiming to evoke a sense of light hearted comfort and whimsy.

Srimoyee Acharya is a LA-based, South Asian American artist. Her brand Srimoyee Handmade offers joyful animal and nature designs. Srimoyee is using her art to create a better world for furry and feathered friends.

As a BIPOC artist, Srimoyee uses her art to express herself as a first-generation South Asian American artist whose identity is rooted in nature and color.

Omar Ortiz has been "drawing" since he could hold a crayon. He humbly jests that his skills as an artist have got marginally better with time. His favorite pastimes besides doodling include going to the movies, traveling the world with his partner and playing videogames. 

Susan C. Johnson is a painter currently living in Pasadena, CA.

She was born in Middletown, CT and received her degree in Art Education from Southern Connecticut State University. After a 30 year art teaching career at the elementary level, Susan retired and is enjoying painting full-time. She has taken workshops with professional artists in Connecticut, Florida, Colorado, and California.

Kerri Andersen creates safe spaces and beautiful days. After years in court as a social justice attorney she now helps people and organizations cultivate Intentional Joy as an act of resilience as the founder of Beautiful Day Collective. Kerri provides trauma-informed well-being consulting, coaching, events, workshops and retreats incorporating perfection free art, collaborative connection and attuned accountability. Through Beautiful Day Collective people create more delight and joy in everyday life, even in the face of hardship. Kerri always stops to pet friendly sidewalk kitties and can be found at Tail Town’s Bingo Nights. 

Danielle is a pet portrait artist with a studio in East Hollywood, focusing on distinctive and highly stylized portraits. She specializes in working with rescue, senior and hospice pets. Danielle also runs a YouTube account focusing on analog cat 'slow tv' videos called Claw Club TV. 

Megumi is an artist and scientist based in Arcadia, CA. She grew up between Yokohama, Japan, and Arcadia.

Although a lifelong artist, she studied science, obtaining her B.S. at the University of Notre Dame and recently a PhD in Developmental Biology at the Institut de la Vision (Sorbonne University) in Paris, France.

After her PhD she rediscovered her love of painting furry critters in watercolor. Her works can be found @studiomegumi on Instagram.

Alexis Maria Planer Villanueva is a visual artist originally from Fort Pierce, Florida, but has called Los Angeles her home for the past eight years. She worked in video games as a 3D Animator for many years, but has recently gone back to her roots as a 2D artist specializing in acrylic and digital paintings.

Many of her paintings are inspired by her love of animals, often of cats. Alexis has three cats of her own, Ava, Eggbert, and Orzo, that she often draws inspiration from. She also enjoys singing in the semi-professional a cappella group, Top Shelf Vocal, and exploring the world with her husband, Philip.

Alexis is wholeheartedly against generative AI, and this stance has influenced her recent art. She feels emboldened to embrace the imperfections inherently present in human-made art and encourages other artists to do the same.

Nicole Newitt (she/her) is a previs and postvis artist local to LA. She studied animation and illustration at San Jose State University and since graduating has worked on projects such as WandaVision, Loki, The Fantastic Four: First Steps, and Superman. One of her favorite aspects of art is the collaborative process of everyone's strengths and passions coming together and she enjoys hosting/participating in craft days and various art shows around LA. She lives in Glendale, CA with her partner Colton and their three cats (Chili, Artemis, and Parmesan).

Alana is an Orange County-based artist who specializes in ceramic and porcelain containers. She draws inspiration from bold colors, vintage designs, and the chaotic beauty of nature. Her goal is to create unique, functional art that will brighten up any space. As the creator of Throwback Ceramics, her fervent hope is that her creations will bring a little bit of joy to someone’s day.

Kathryn Evans is an artist from New Haven, CT where she co-owned a shop carrying works of local artists, while also working at The Yale University Art Gallery.

She moved to Los Angeles for the sunshine and warmth - and ended up finding her dream job. Starting as a set painter for film, tv, and theme parks, she was eventually hired at Walt Disney Imagineering as a Paint and Color Specialist. She also painted miniature sets for stop motion animation on Robot Chicken. Other fun projects included spiders and owls for a Harry Potter attraction in London, and a Halloween baking show with Martha Stewart and Snoop Dog. Her happiest project was the stop motion SpongeBob special “Sandy’s Country Christmas” painting backgrounds, props, and scenery. 

Kathryn lives in Pasadena, California. An animal lover and advocate, she has always been active with animal rescue groups and is currently in production on her 2027 calendar The Many Lives Of Boo - which will feature female Boos, such as Eleanor Boosevelt and Ruth Booder GinsBoo. Proceeds from the calendar sales go to cat rescue organizations.

Tatiana mixes illustration with graphic design, inspired by the art in games like Pokemon and childhood stories like Peter Rabbit. She likes to capture the whimsy and magic of what we see in the every day. She’s primarily a digital and sketchbook artist, painting is sometimes on the table if she feels like dealing with the clean up and inevitable stains. 

Beth Atkins is the Queen Bee of Busy Bee’s Hive in Pasadena, CA. Supervised by a highly skilled team of rescue pets that help and support, Beth creates the unique custom artwork for you. Check out her prints and whimsical watercolors!

Woobie Runt Crafts is a mom and daughter team who loves making things for others. Chloe (daughter) did the piece for this art show and specializes in hand embroidery. She fell in love with embroidery in 2020 and hasn’t stopped making embroidered art since. Donna (mom) also does hand embroidery along with stained glass, crochet, drawing and other crafty goods. They have a very tiny shop that started doing vending events around the city in the past year and will be vending their first CatCon later this year.
