Tail Town Cats is exploring new depths and diving into the unknown…
Artists are encouraged to seek inspiration from ocean life, deep sea exploration, oceanic designs, PURRmaids, pirates, tropical waters, and the curious cats you can find when you follow the tide! Of course all art must include or be inspired by our favorite felines. Pieces due July 9th.
Opening reception is Saturday July 11, 6pm
Show runs through Sunday Aug 30
Guests will enjoy light refreshments, first dibs on artwork, and playtime with 40 friendly felines!

Srimoyee Acharya
Srimoyee Acharya is a LA-based, South Asian American artist. Her brand Srimoyee Handmade offers joyful animal and nature designs. Srimoyee is using her art to create a better world for furry and feathered friends.
As a BIPOC artist, Srimoyee uses her art to express herself as a first-generation South Asian American artist whose identity is rooted in nature and color.

Heidi Moreno
Heidi Moreno is a children’s book illustrator, and sometimes author, based out of Los Angeles. As a lover of all things analogue, she works traditionally with watercolors, gouache, colored pencils and wax pastels.

Kimberly Kuniko
Kimberly Kuniko (she/her) is a mixed-race Nikkei American illustrator, mixed media collage artist, found words poet, and the designer behind Lacelit Studio, a stationery + gift brand lacing together endearing imagery and clever wordplay. Kimberly's Japanese roots inform her art through a fondness for paper and storytelling, and the delight of balancing detail through intentional restraint. She loves creating in the space where words and imagery intersect, seeking out the connections between disparate things, and layering stories together. She loves hosting workshops and fostering spaces for creatives of all mediums and identities to learn, connect, and nurture imagination.

Sandi Flores
Launched on Dec 1 2023 by a silly kitty-adoring lady, Sandi F., Whisker Dreams is the combination of multiple ambitions all snuggled into one cardboard box.
After working in ecommerce for over 11 years, I wanted to challenge myself to use my skills I have learned, my art, and my passion to hopefully bring a pawsitive impact to cats and their cat families around the world.

Lucinda Wei
Lucinda Wei earned a BFA in graphic design from Carnegie Mellon, attended the Yale University Graphic Design Summer Program in Brissago, Switzerland and has spent a couple of decades developing packaging, corporate identities and branding. She has also been running her own highly successful graphic design studio for over 10 years.
In addition to her love for nature, she likes to explore other artistic avenues — music, knitting, crochet or just creating something with her hands especially for friends and family. -
Zoe Stanek
Born in Nebraska and raised in Western Colorado, Zoe Stanek has found her place among the trees in Oregon’s Pacific Northwest. She is a writer and artist who takes inspiration from landscapes and everyday magic. She writes whimsical fairy tales about women and girls: slice of life stories of worlds just beyond our own. Her art follows suit, depicting playful scenes teeming with wonder.

Omar Ortiz
Omar Ortiz has been "drawing" since he could hold a crayon. He humbly jests that his skills as an artist have got marginally better with time. His favorite pastimes besides doodling include going to the movies, traveling the world with his partner and playing videogames.

Sue Johnson
Susan C. Johnson is a painter currently living in Pasadena, CA.
She was born in Middletown, CT and received her degree in Art Education from Southern Connecticut State University. After a 30 year art teaching career at the elementary level, Susan retired and is enjoying painting full-time. She has taken workshops with professional artists in Connecticut, Florida, Colorado, and California.

Isla Phillips
Isla Phillips was born in Pasadena and is, and will always be, a lover of cats. She does ballet and loves it. She is usually an extremely bad artist but with a partner, like her aunt Cara to do it with her and knowing it was for the cats she really wanted to do it. Being from California she is born a dodger fan and will be cheering them on forever.
Cara Campbell
Cara lives in New England and works in education. She and Isla are frequent collaborators in many mediums. She enjoys UNO, baseball, and being outside. She encourages cats and people to follow their dreams.

Alex Miller of Cloud Cat Arts is a freelance illustrator and product designer based in Southern California. They have been creating art out of anything they could since they were little and have always been heavily inspired by nature—especially cats!
